This walk starts at Felin Puleston and takes about 30 minutes. It is unsuitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs, young children or anyone unsteady on their feet, especially in wet weather.
From the car park go over the bridge towards the industrial estate and go through the kissing gate on your right. Follow the path alongside the river Clywedog.
Go straight on until you reach the kissing gate by the old millstone. Go through the gate and carry on along the path to the next kissing gate. Turn right and follow the path; the river Clywedog will still be on your right and Coed-y-Glyn wood to your left.
Carry on until the path brings you to the kissing gate onto Erddig Road. Turn left. Walk a few meters up the hill then follow the narrow path up the bank to your left which brings you to a stile.
If you don't mind detouring a bit here, before going to the stile carry on up Erddig Road to the top of the hill and you will see the entrance gates from Coed-y-Glyn into Erddig (right).
Climb over the stile and you will find yourself on the top path through Coed-y-Glyn woods. This path is along a part of Wat's Dyke. On your left is quite a steep drop and the path can be quite slippery in places when it is muddy so take care. Follow the path to the end when it drops down towards the road, then winds back round to where you started.
To make this into a longer walk, do it in reverse and when you get to the stile that takes you onto Erddig Road, walk up the hill a few metres and you will see another stile on your right; go over this stile and you can continue along the path towards Sontley Road, then drop down and follow the lower path back.
