This is a great walk with lovely views. It takes about one hour. Follow Erddig road to the Cup and Saucer. Cross the wooden bridge that leads to the Cup and Saucer and look for a kissing gate in fence opposite.

Go through the kissing gate, turn left and follow wide path to a gate (at SJ 324 483 for those in the know). Bear South West up the hill.

There is a great view of the Hall from here especially in autumn when the front of the hall is covered in red leaves.

Once at the top of the hill you will see an obvious path leading towards a farm. Follow the path down the hill to a footbridge across Black Brook and a gate.

Go through the gate and follow the hedge line up the hill to to a stile. After stile bear SW again towards the tree in the corner of the field and a kissing gate in the extreme SW of the park. You will arrive at the lodge and can follow the road back into the park.
