For this walk start at the dovecote which is near the main car park at the hall. Allow approx 40 minutes. It is a nice easy, flat walk, but it can get a little muddy in places in wet weather.
Go through the kissing gate at the side of the dovecote and head straight on, but veering a little to your left until you find the path that runs alongside the hedge.
Continue alongside the hedge until you come to the roadway (from Sontley Road) into Erddig - make sure dogs are on a lead here as you can come upon the road quite quickly. Cross the road and continue alongside the hedge again until you come to another kissing gate.
Go through this gate and turn left. Make sure dogs are on a lead here again as the horses are often in this field.
Go through the next kissing gate which brings you out on a track. Turn left and walk just a few yards down the track.
Turn left through the kissing gate into Forest Wood.
Follow the path through the woods until you come back onto the roadway leading to the hall. Turn left.
Follow the roadway down for a few yards. Pass the cattle grid and turn right. Follow the path back alongside the hedge to where you started at the dovecote.
Then have a nice rest and admire the view!
